The Sand Plain Research Farm conducts a variety of research in conjunction with various governmental agencies on the federal, state and county levels. We collaborate with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and four local Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
- Public demonstration of woody plant germplasm.
- Evaluating and developing plant materials for conservation uses.
- Maintaining and developing a community gravel tree bed nursery that will provide communities with tree stock that has strong, vigorous root systems by which they can diversify their tree inventory.
